The votes are in and the numbers don’t lie.

Accounting Manager Monica Tor has been named Mesa View Regional Hospital’s Director of the Quarter.

Tor expressed surprised when she was presented with the award.

“This is pretty cool,” she said.

Mesa View CEO Sue Conley says she is happy to have Tor on board.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with the hard work Monica puts forth every day; her dedication to detail is a valuable quality,” Conley said.

Tor joined Mesa View in November of 2004, shortly after its opening.

She left for a short time but has been back since November of 2008.

Tor oversees accounts payable, payroll, general ledger reconciliations and all types of financial reporting.

“My job is predictable, which is good because I like to know what to expect,” Tor said.

The numbers game has always been it for Tor.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and before joining Mesa View she worked as an independent accounting specialist.

Tor and her family are originally from California, and lived in Las Vegas for 10 years before what she calls “their escape to the calmness of Mesquite” six years ago.

Something you might not know about Tor is that she would like to own her own wine bar someday.

For now she will enjoy the predictability of her numbers at Mesa View.

Tor enjoys spending time with her family and friends with activities such as camping, boating, and barbecuing.

She looks forward to a little traveling in the future and spending as much time as possible with her loved ones.

Mesa View Regional Hospital extends congratulations to Tor for and "award well deserved."
