 | VVES fourth grade student Anthony Valk, left, was the winner of the “Cool Cuisine” contest drawing at the school. He was awarded the prize, a skateboard and helment, by Sergio Tellez, CCSD food service supervisor. |
The Clark County School District Food Services recently sponsored the “Cool Cuisine" Breakfast Contest at Virgin Valley Elementary School from Oct. 29 to Nov. 10.
Students were each given a breakfast card and had to eat school breakfast for all ten days during the contest period.
When they got their breakfasts, the food service person would stamp their cards.
At the end of the 10 days, the students with all 10 days stamped on their cards got to turn in their cards for a drawing.
One lucky student from each school received a skateboard and a helmet.
The winner from Virgin Valley Elementary School was Anthony Valk, a student in Mr. David Tait's fourth grade class.
There were also four bicycles given away in the contest to four lucky students in the district.
The food service supervisor from the school district, Sergio Tellez, was at the school to hold the drawing and award the prize. |
